Growth Consulting CCStpa engaged Flagship to review its current strategic plan and test the underlying assumptions driving their current path to accelerate market growth and earnings. The review included finance, underwriting, network strategies, shared services, product strategy, product packaging, market positioning, market messaging, channel segment strategy and sales execution. We identified and defined critical recommendations and supporting roadmaps for “high confidence” delivery of those key strategic recommendations:

• Created organizational clarity, support and accountability, clearly defining CCS’s goals and objectives and their role within Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.

• Created GTM messaging and manifesto that focused on the transition of employee benefits and big networks to the business of health care, focused on supply and demand and personalization through real understanding.

• Created channel segmentation and territory plans incorporating GTM messaging for each of CCS’s critical segments and the sales execution strategy to support the plan.

• Fresh and innovative network strategies to leverage one of CCS’s most valued assets.

At the end of the 120-day review and assessment Flagship provided a risk assessment of the roadmaps that identify key barriers to success including but not limited to, industry dynamics and experience, assessment of current CCStpa capabilities, and cultural fit with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. CCStpa began immediately implementing Flagship’s key recommendations resulting in significantly accelerated better than budget earnings. CCStpa is currently executing many of the remaining Flagship recommendations and has retained Flagship to support the process.
